That's walking the fine line about as well as anyone can hope for. Having said that, would it meet your goals at all to solicit comments for desired changes on a forum such as this? Think of it as a brain-storming session. I will offer a few things that I would like to see on my next radio: 1.
It's easy to understand and use. Easier to read labeling on the switches on top of the transmitter.
Those of us with "old eyes" need all the help we can get. Good contrast helps, as does print size.
I find both the red-on-silver and the blue-on-silver letters a bit more difficult to read than simple black-on-white. The RD was easier for me than the RD in this regard. Guards on the gear and flap switches. I actually made little "U" shaped sheet metal guards to protect against accidental gear retraction on my old CS7P. If they were available as an "extra" I'd buy them in a heartbeat. The way it is now I can't utilize "aux 1" as a discrete channel without turning my "ail-rud" mix on and off.
At least that's how it seems to me. While we are at it, longer transmitter battery life would be nice. Is it possible to make servo connectors so that we can pull on the connector body itself to disconnect and avoid pulling on the wires? Maybe a little plastic tool to grab the connector body even if we have to buy it as an extra. Louder warning beeps from the transmitter? Between background noise at the field and "aging ears" I don't hear the beeps as often as I'd like. One or two more compensation mixers would be nice.
Super Bee & Bumble Bee
But then I'm a control systems junkie so maybe that's asking too much. Please understand that I'm not trying to pick Airtronics radios apart. I have been a customer since the Cliffy days and fully expect to continue. On balance they are the best choice on the market for me. Just want to give some thoughtful feedback in hopes of a an even better radio. Dick Fischer.

I switched to Airtronics when the RD came out because the method of programing was so intelligent and well thought out. I am disapointed in how long it has taken to come out with a 2. I have never had a problem with the Airtronics that I have and expect that the new systems will be as good. Long live Airtronics!
